MySpace could be worth $15 billion US in 3 years

This is nuts. Beyond nuts. Interesting usage figures though, given I’ve read elsewhere lately that the 100 million users figure for MySpace is rubbish due to inactive accounts etc, Reuters claims MySpace has 90 million active users. Amazing, but still a crazy valuation.

I don’t think so. Look at the deal they cut with Google, and imagine what Yahoo/Microsoft/Whoever would pay for something similar when it’s up in 3 years, even assuming their growth evens out.

I read an interesting analysis the other day that argued MySpace’s page view stats were exaggerated by at least a facot of 5 (possibly up to 20) purely because of their appalling design. A properly designed site (far more valuable to users) could accomplish tasks in far fewer clicks but it’s easier to pitch a million page views to an investor than it is to pitch 100,000 high quality page views.

Last couple of days it seems it wont let me download any song from anywhere.
