Chumby now legally available in Australia

The Chumby a.k.a The Worlds Dearest Alarm Clock in now available legally in Australia.

Internode is the local distribrutor and has it for $299 here.

I’ve had mine for at least 6 months, and I love it, but the widget/ content side is overated. Why the hell would I wan’t to browse RSS feeds or weather from my alarm clock when I usually have my iPhone and Macbook Pro sitting next to it :-)

Still, nothing quite like waking up to 977 The 80′s Channel every morning :-)

(via Core Economics)

  • Every bloody commercial station in Australia is the 80's channel. Seriously. It's disgusting.

I left Perth in 1994 for the UK, and when I came back 10 years later the same bloody songs were playing. I WISH I WAS JOKING.

Australian radio (for the most part) is in a time-warp.
  • Wow. Now that's a fancy looking gizmo. Seems to come with the pricetag of a fancy looking gizmo as well. I still use my dollar store alarm clock which has served me well for over 3 years now. How's that for an investment, lol.
  • So stoked they have finally reached our shores! I have a meeting with a rep from the Chumby distributor next week so that we (Xero.com.au) can stock them :)

Pretty darn cool item if you ask me which you didn't, now did you?
  • I like these things too!
